Types of fuels for the electric generator

There are three different types of fuel, the choice will be determined by the power you need and the budget you have:

  • Gasoline: This type of fuel is suitable for all types of uses, except for welding. Its uses are usually in motorhomes, small workshops, street vendors, and whenever the use is not prolonged. They are cheap, light and less noisy than others. However, you have to let them rest every 4 hours of use and they consume more fuel than diesel appliances.

  • Diesel: Compared to the previous one, it is indicated for prolonged and long-term use. They are frequently used on construction sites and in large machinery. Their noise level is higher than those of gasoline, however, they offer lower consumption, greater autonomy, more spaced time between rest and rest to cool down (9 hours), and more durable due to less wear. For these type of fuels you need very heavy and smart power solutions to maintain it.

  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). These types of generators are often used at home and in outdoor spaces for short-term events. They are low noise and more respectful with the environment
