What is an emergency or power backup system?

An electrical backup system is a set of electronic components and devices that allows to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of electrical energy for a home, business or office.

Basically it must be composed of a power plant and a UPS . This is mostly required for industrial power backup solutions and for commercial too.

1. When an electrical service interruption occurs, the UPS from its battery bank automatically generates energy instantly and in this way the connected equipment continues to work. This backup is for a few minutes, depending on the battery bank and the number of connected equipment, so there is enough time to start the generator.

2. The generator or power plant is a device that moves an electricity generator through an internal combustion engine. (You need fuel to generate electricity).

In backup systems, the generator supplies power to the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to power connected equipment. In these cases, the power plant is a backup source, in which the power of the power plant must be greater than the power of the UPS
